Why work with a travel advisor instead of booking it myself?

You can absolutely book it yourself. You can even book your next getaway anytime through my personal travel portal – browse hand-picked hotels and exclusive perks, and reserve your trip in just a few clicks. What I offer is the research you don’t have time for, a plan that fits you rather than the internet’s top-ten list, partner perks at many hotels, and someone to call if anything changes along the way.

Does it cost more to book through you?

Hotel bookings are usually the same rate you’d find on your own, often with added perks like breakfast or an upgrade. My planning fee covers the time it takes to design your trip, and consultations and hotel-only bookings are always free.

How far ahead should I reach out?

For most trips, three to six months is ideal. For peak seasons, popular safaris, complicated trips such as seeing the cherry blossoms in Japan or anything with hard-to-get reservations, earlier is better… think 8–12 months out. I can plan trips less than six weeks out too; a short-notice fee applies.

I already know where I want to go. Can you still help?

Of course! Some of my favorite trips start with a destination already circled. I’ll help you decide where to stay, what’s worth the time, and what to skip.

Do you only plan luxury trips?

Not at all. I plan from bougie to backcountry, and most of the best trips include a bit of both. I’ll design around whatever your budget can stretch to and help you spend it where it counts. If you want to backpack hut to hut in the Swiss Alps, we can totally do that!

What if something goes wrong while I’m traveling?

I’m a message away for the whole trip, and I’ll help sort out whatever comes up, no matter what.

Is the planning fee refundable?

The planning fee is due when we begin and isn’t refundable, since that’s when the work starts.

What’s Fora?

Fora is the travel agency network I’m affiliated with. It gives me booking tools, hotel partner programs, and support behind the scenes, while every trip is still designed by me.
